Belle Glos Eulenloch Pinot Noir 750ml

Belle Glos Eulenloch is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Wagner family, drawn from the Eulenloch site in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, where cool morning fog slows ripening and keeps acidity in the fruit. Like the rest of the Belle Glos range it arrives under the house's signature wax capsule. The nose leads with black cherry, raspberry preserves and a lick of baking spice. The palate is dense and plush for the variety, layering dark berry fruit over cocoa and toasted oak, and the finish is long, softly tannic and faintly savoury. Open it half an hour ahead and serve just below room temperature with duck, mushroom risotto or an aged hard cheese.
