Braulio Amaro Alpino is an Italian alpine amaro from Bormio in the Lombardy Alps, made from a blend of alpine herbs and roots including wormwood, yarrow, and juniper, aged in oak casks before bottling at 21% ABV. That alpine botanical bill gives it a more herbaceous, less sweet profile than richer southern Italian amari. The nose shows pine, mint, and bitter herbs, the palate carries herbal bitterness with a cooling, mentholated quality, and the finish is long and herbaceous. It suits drinkers who enjoy drier, more bracing amaro styles.
