About this bottle
Caravedo Acholado is a Peruvian pisco blending three grape varieties, Quebranta, Torontel, and Italia, combining a non-aromatic base with two aromatic grapes rather than bottling a single varietal. As with all authentic Peruvian pisco, it's distilled in copper pot stills and never aged in wood, resting only in glass or stainless steel so nothing masks the grape character. The blend gives it more complexity than a single-varietal pisco: Quebranta's earthy weight anchors the aromatic lift from Torontel and Italia, landing somewhere between the two styles. Expect stone fruit, orange blossom, and a light spice on the nose, with a smooth, rounded palate and clean finish. This bottle suits anyone who wants the classic blended-grape base used in much of Peru's pisco.
How to drink Caravedo Acholado
This is the traditional choice for a Pisco Sour — its blended character holds up well against lime, egg white, and bitters. It's also worth trying neat to taste the balance between the Quebranta base and the aromatic grapes.
