About this bottle
Caravedo Quebranta is a Pisco Puro, made entirely from Quebranta, the non-aromatic grape variety unique to Peru and the most widely planted grape in pisco production. As with all genuine pisco, it's distilled in copper pot stills and never touches wood, resting instead in glass or stainless steel so the spirit stays clear and the grape character stays unaltered. Quebranta produces a rounder, earthier, less overtly floral pisco than the aromatic varieties, making it the workhorse grape behind most classic Pisco Sours in Peru. Expect ripe stone fruit and a subtle earthiness on the nose, with a smooth, mellow palate and a clean finish. This bottle suits anyone who wants the traditional, foundational style of Peruvian pisco.
How to drink Caravedo Quebranta
Use it as the base for a proper Pisco Sour, where its rounder, less floral profile is the traditional choice. It also sips well neat and slightly chilled if you want to taste Quebranta on its own.
