About this bottle
Cockspur Special Reserve, Old Gold, is an aged rum from Cockspur, one of Barbados's oldest rum brands, dating back to the 1880s. Made from molasses and matured in oak in the tropical Caribbean climate, it's built for a rounder, more traditional Barbadian rum character than a light, unaged mixing rum. Expect caramel and dried fruit on the nose, vanilla and light oak spice on the palate, and a smooth, moderate finish. It's a versatile bottle for both sipping and classic rum cocktails.
