Cooperstown Distillery's HOF 13 Elite Edition Ogden 44 is an American whiskey from the New York craft distillery that has built its shelf around commemorative Hall of Fame bottlings. The distillery works in the same village as the Baseball Hall of Fame, and its releases are made as much for the display case as for the decanter: numbered editions, athlete portraits, bottles people buy in pairs so one can stay sealed. In the glass it runs traditional, with vanilla and light char on the nose, caramel, orchard fruit and toasted oak across the palate, and a dry, spiced finish. Serve it neat, or on a single large cube.
