Crown Royal Marquis is a blended Canadian whisky finished in Caribbean rum casks. The rum influence is the whole story: honey and brown sugar first, vanilla underneath, then date and fig filling in the middle. It drinks rounder and sweeter than the standard Deluxe bottling, which is deliberate — Crown Royal built this one for nightlife rather than the back bar, the first time the house has aimed an expression that way. Bottled at 40% ABV, 80 proof, blended in Manitoba where Crown Royal has worked since 1939. Pour it over a big cube, or let it carry a highball without disappearing into the soda.
