About this bottle
Damrak Virgin is the non-alcoholic edition of Lucas Bols' Amsterdam gin, distilled from the same juniper, coriander, angelica and citrus botanicals used in the alcoholic original, then de-alcoholized rather than built up from flavorings. It pours pale and aromatic, with juniper and citrus peel up front and a dry, faintly bitter herbal finish that reads far closer to a real London Dry gin than most alcohol-free alternatives. Bols has distilled in Amsterdam since 1575, and that distilling pedigree shows in the balance here. A fair pick for anyone cutting back who still wants a proper gin-and-tonic in hand.
How to drink Damrak Virgin
Build it long over ice with tonic and a wedge of grapefruit, the citrus doing the work a splash of alcohol usually would. It also holds up in a virgin Negroni against non-alcoholic amaro and vermouth.
