About this bottle
Del Maguey Chichicapa is a single-village mezcal made in the town of San Baltazar Chichicapa, Oaxaca, part of Del Maguey's pioneering single-village program that bottles mezcal from individual palenques rather than blending across regions. It's made from wild and semi-cultivated Espadín agave, cooked in earthen pits and distilled in small batches by traditional makers. Expect a complex nose of roasted agave, mineral smoke and dried herbs, a rich, earthy palate with citrus and spice, and a long, smoky, mineral-driven finish. It's one of the category's most respected and widely available single-village bottlings.
