Don Lorenzo Mezcal Tobalá is made from Tobalá agave, one of the oldest wild maguey varieties in Mexico, endemic to the high-altitude tropical lands of Oaxaca. That agave yields a candied, floral, smoky flavor unlike the more common Espadín. Distilled in copper stills and bottled at 45% ABV, which lets the more delicate flavors come through rather than getting overwhelmed by higher proof. Smooth and mellow, good for sipping neat or in a cocktail.
