Dos Maderas Double Aged Luxus 15 Year is a rum from the Dos Maderas range, distilled in Barbados and Guyana and aged for 15 years in American oak before finishing in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks in the Canary Islands. The extra time in PX wood layers in dried fruit and raisin sweetness over the base rum's oak and vanilla character, with a smooth finish carrying a touch of spice. It reads richer and sweeter than a straight bourbon-cask rum of the same age. Best suited to sipping neat or with a single ice cube rather than mixing.
