Dueling Grounds Hibiscus and Honey is a flavoured American dry gin from the small distillery in Franklin, Kentucky, named for the field where Kentuckians once crossed the Tennessee line to settle arguments. It sits in the contemporary camp, where juniper shares the stage instead of running the show: hibiscus brings tart floral colour and honey rounds the edges. The nose is hibiscus flower, honey and soft juniper. The palate is floral tartness with honeyed sweetness and citrus riding over a juniper base, and the finish is clean and gently sweet. Serve it over ice with tonic and a lemon wheel, or shake it into a bee's knees.
