Foursquare Isonomy is a single blended rum from Barbados, meaning it's a blend of pot- and column-still rums made entirely in-house at Foursquare rather than sourced from multiple distilleries. It's aged a minimum of 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels under Barbados' tropical climate, which pushes maturation faster and deeper than cooler warehouses manage. The nose leads with oak, vanilla, and dried fruit; the palate turns smooth and creamy with caramel, toffee, and baking spice, closing on a long, gently sweet finish. Foursquare's Exceptional Cask Series releases, of which Isonomy is one, have built a reputation among rum drinkers for treating rum with the same seriousness as a fine whisky.
