Glen Breton Rare 21 Year is the oldest standard expression from Glenora Distillery in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, matured for two full decades before bottling. Two decades in oak give it hints of apple and maple syrup on the nose, a palate built around butterscotch and wild apples, and a smooth finish carrying hazelnut and toffee. It's noticeably richer and rounder than the 10 and 14 year expressions, with the fruit character mellowing into something closer to dessert than the brighter orchard notes you get in the younger bottlings. Bottled at 43% ABV, this is the one for collectors and Glen Breton fans who want the fullest expression of the distillery's house style.
