About this bottle
Glenfarclas remains independently owned by the Grant family — no relation to Glenfiddich's Grants — across six generations, one of the few remaining family-run distilleries in Speyside rather than part of a larger conglomerate. The 105 takes its name from the old British proof scale, where 105 degrees proof works out to 60% ABV, and it's bottled straight from ex-sherry casks without dilution to standard strength. Expect rich sherry, dried fruit, and real oak spice at serious intensity, a genuine cask-strength experience rather than a marketing gesture. It's been in continuous production since the 1960s, making it one of the longest-running cask strength releases in Scotch.
