Glenmorangie Lasanta is a 12-year-old Highland single malt Scotch whisky, matured first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and then extra-matured for around two years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The sherry finish brings dried fruit, toffee, and a touch of chocolate orange to the nose, while the palate turns creamy with raisins, spice, and toasted nuts, finishing long and warmly on cinnamon and dark sugar. It's a fuller, richer style than Glenmorangie's standard 10 Year, and suits drinkers who enjoy sherried whisky with real depth of dried-fruit character.
How to drink Glenmorangie Lasanta
Pour it neat to let the sherry-cask sweetness lead, or add a splash of water if the spice feels too forward. Its dried-fruit richness also makes it a good stand-in for the whisky in a Rob Roy.
