About this bottle
Gracias a Dios Espadín Reposado starts with 100% Espadín agave, roasted in an underground pit oven and distilled in copper stills using traditional Oaxacan methods, then rested in oak for at least six months. That barrel time adds caramel and vanilla over the mezcal's smoky, earthy base, softening the raw spirit into something rounder without losing the character that makes it mezcal rather than tequila. It sits between an unaged Espadín and the brand's longer-aged bottlings — enough oak to add depth, not so much that it reads like a whiskey. A reasonable entry point for someone moving from tequila into mezcal.
How to drink Gracias a Dios Espadín Reposado
Neat, in a small glass, is still the right call even with the added oak — this isn't built for a mixer. If you want a cocktail, a Mezcal Old Fashioned lets the caramel notes from the barrel come through.

Questions about this bottle

100% Espadín agave, the most widely cultivated agave used in mezcal.
How long is it aged?
A minimum of six months in oak barrels.
Is this a good mezcal for beginners?
Yes — the oak aging rounds out the smoky, earthy Espadín base, making it a gentler entry point than an unaged mezcal.
