This is a single barrel of Heaven's Door cask strength bourbon, selected as barrel 147 for the ToMo pick and bottled at 124.8 proof with nothing added and nothing cut. Heaven's Door is the whiskey house founded with Bob Dylan, and the cask strength line is where the range stops being approachable and starts being interesting: no batching to a house profile, just what that one barrel turned into. The nose is dark caramel, cherry cola and toasted oak, the palate is brown sugar, dark chocolate, clove and dried fruit, and the finish runs hot and long. Neat with a few drops of water, or one large cube.
