About this bottle
High West Rendezvous Rye blends two sourced straight ryes into one bottle: a six-year rye distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and a sixteen-year rye from the former Barton Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky — two very different rye mash bills married together by High West in Park City, Utah. Bottled at 92 proof, it opens with baking spice and dried fruit, moves into caramel and oak from the older component, and finishes with a peppery snap. The blend approach is the whole idea: High West built its early reputation on marrying sourced whiskeys rather than distilling from scratch, and this remains one of the clearest examples of the technique working. A great everyday rye for cocktails or neat drinking.
