Hiram Walker Blue Curaçao is an orange liqueur that happens to be blue, and the colour is really the only thing separating it from a standard curaçao — the flavour still comes from bitter orange peel. That makes it a bar tool as much as an ingredient: it turns a drink electric without changing its structure. Candied orange and zest on the nose, a palate of sweet orange peel with a faint bitter edge running underneath, and a clean citrus finish. The litre bottle is built for volume pouring rather than careful measuring. Use it in a Blue Hawaiian, a blue margarita, or anywhere a triple sec would otherwise go.
