About this bottle
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select is a step up from the brand's flagship Old No. 7, drawn from individual barrels resting on the upper floors of the Lynchburg, Tennessee barrelhouses, where wider heat swings pull more character from the wood. Like every Jack Daniel's whiskey, it's filtered drop by drop through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal before barreling — the Lincoln County Process that makes this a Tennessee whiskey rather than a bourbon. Bottled at 94 proof from a mash of roughly 80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% malted barley, it runs richer and spicier than the standard bottling, with caramel, vanilla, and oak char up front and a warm, peppery finish.
How to drink Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
Take it neat or with a single ice cube to let the extra proof and barrel char show through; it's assertive enough to stand up in a Manhattan too.
