Jim Beam Devil's Cut is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Beam family distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, built around whiskey pulled from deep inside the wood of used barrels rather than just what pours out naturally. After the standard-aged bourbon is dumped, the empty barrels are treated to extract whiskey trapped in the charred oak, which is then blended back into the final bourbon for extra intensity. The result is a bolder, oakier take on standard Jim Beam, with more caramel, char, and spice, and a heavier, smoky finish. It works well in a stirred cocktail or over ice.
