About this bottle
Knappogue Castle is located in County Clare, Ireland and produces its whiskey from malted barley, pot-still distilled and matured in oak casks for twelve years. The whiskey is aged in a combination of Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks and American Bourbon barrels, offering a pale gold color with a light citrus nose. On the palate, light hints of malt, toffee, and oak are present, closing on a smooth, mellow finish with sweet vanilla and wood spices.
How to drink Knappogue Castle 12 Year
Best neat or with a few drops of water to open the citrus — it also makes an excellent Irish Coffee if you want to put the sherry-cask sweetness to work.
