La Reliquia Maguey Joven Madre Cuishe is a joven mezcal made exclusively from Madre Cuishe agave, a mature, slow-growing wild maguey known for a naturally sweet, smooth character compared to more common agave varieties. Produced in Oaxaca, Mexico, in small batches by veteran mezcalero Manuel Méndez, who has worked in the trade for more than 40 years, it's distilled through copper piping for an intense, smoky flavor. Expect a deep, layered profile: sweet agave up front, a persistent smokiness underneath, and enough intensity to reward slow sipping. Like most rare-agave mezcals, it works equally well served solo, with ice, or mixed into a simple cocktail.
