Michter's ages the whiskey in fire-charred new American white oak, and the pour shows it: butterscotch and cinnamon on the nose, warm toasty vanilla and caramel across the palate, and a dry, oaky spice on the finish. Releases arrive periodically and in limited quantities, and they do not linger on shelves. Drink this one neat with a few minutes of air, or over a single large cube when the barrel runs hot.
