Mamont 750 ml

Mamont is a Siberian vodka distilled from winter wheat malt at the Itkul Distillery, a plant working the Altai foothills since 1868. Its water comes from an Artesian well high in the Altai and runs through silver-birch charcoal before bottling, a filtration step the brand leans on for its clean texture. Named for the woolly mammoths whose remains turn up in the Siberian permafrost, it pours soft and dry, with faint raspberry on the nose, a touch of almond and marshmallow on the palate, and a low note of anise on the close. At 80 proof it stays approachable. Keep it in the freezer and pour it straight, or let it carry a martini where a wheat vodka's roundness earns its place.

How to drink Mamont

Keep the bottle in the freezer and pour it ice-cold into a small glass, the traditional way to drink Russian-style vodka. Its wheat-forward roundness also makes it a solid choice for a martini.
