McKenzie Straight Bourbon is made by Finger Lakes Distilling, a Seneca Lake, New York producer that distills its whiskey from locally grown grain rather than sourcing it. As a straight bourbon, it's aged at least two years in new charred oak with nothing added beyond water. Finger Lakes' cooler upstate climate ages whiskey more slowly than a hot Kentucky summer, which tends to mean less aggressive oak extraction for a given number of years.
