About this bottle
Mezcal de Leyendas is a project built to showcase mezcal from outside Oaxaca, and this bottling uses Maguey Verde harvested in San Luis Potosi, one of several Mexican states with its own agave and palenque traditions. The agave is roasted in a conical earthen oven, crushed, fermented naturally, and double-distilled in small copper pot stills. The San Luis Potosi terroir tends to give a drier, more mineral mezcal than the fruit-forward Oaxacan style, with smoke, green herb, and citrus peel carrying through. It's bottled blanco, unaged, so the regional agave character comes through clean.
