MEZO Piña Mezorita is a canned mezcal margarita built on pineapple and lime, ready-mixed so the only preparation is chilling it. Pineapple and smoke is a classic agave pairing, and swapping mezcal in for tequila keeps the drink from tipping over into pure sweetness the way most canned tropical cocktails do. The nose is fresh pineapple and citrus with a curl of woodsmoke behind it; the palate is tart and tropical, with roasted agave and a light salinity holding the fruit in check; the finish is clean, dry and short.
