About this bottle
Novo Fogo Barrel-Aged Cachaça is a Brazilian sugarcane spirit, distilled from fresh-pressed cane juice rather than molasses, which gives cachaça a grassier, more vegetal base than most rum styles. This batch spends time in oak barrels, adding vanilla and light spice on top of the spirit's natural sugarcane character. It's organic and sustainably produced, made in small batches at Novo Fogo's distillery on the coast of Brazil. Cachaça is best known as the base of a Caipirinha, and this aged expression has enough character to also work as a sipping spirit for drinkers curious about rum's lesser-known cousin.
