Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum is a lighter expression from the Tampa-based Papa's Pilar brand, named for Ernest Hemingway's fishing boat and built around a solera-style blending process using rums from multiple countries. The Blonde version is aged in a mix of bourbon, sherry, and port barrels before final blending, giving it more depth than a typical unaged white rum despite its light color. Expect a nose of vanilla and light citrus, a smooth palate with baking spice and a touch of dried fruit, and a clean, moderate finish. It's built to bridge sipping rum and mixing rum in one bottle.
