It's bottled at barrel proof with no water added and never chill-filtered, so the whiskey arrives at full strength and full body. The sweet-mash spirit is distilled in Louisville and, in the distillery's own words, never sourced. Sweet oak and orange zest lead the nose ahead of tobacco and cedar; the palate turns from honey to cinnamon and spicy oak, with leather underneath. The finish carries dry cocoa across a thick, viscous mouthfeel. Pour it neat and give it a few minutes to open before adding a single drop of water.
