Plantation Jamaica Claredon MSP 15 Years Aged Limited Edition 2007 750 ml
About this bottle
This is a fifteen-year-old Jamaican rum from Clarendon, distilled in 2007 under the MSP marque, one of the pot still marques that made the island's reputation for heavy, fruity, high-ester rum. Plantation ages its Jamaican stock in the tropics first, where the heat does years of work quickly, then carries the maturation on in cooler cellars in France. The nose is overripe banana, varnish and pineapple, the classic Jamaican funk, the palate brings brown sugar, baked plantain, clove and a savoury olive-brine edge, and the finish is long, dry and estery. Drink it neat in a tulip glass; a cocktail cannot hold this much character.
