About this bottle
Redbreast 21 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, matured for a minimum of twenty-one years across ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. It's the oldest core expression in the Redbreast range, built from the same malted-and-unmalted-barley pot still method that defines the brand. Expect dried fruit, toasted oak, and warm spice up front, a rich, oily palate, and a long, smooth finish that carries real age without turning woody. Bottled at 92 proof and non-chill filtered, it's a whiskey for someone who already knows Redbreast's standard 12 Year and wants to see what two more decades in cask does to it.
How to drink Redbreast 21 Year Old
Neat, in a tulip glass, is the only real call at this age — give it a few minutes to breathe before the first sip. Save the ice and the cocktails for a younger bottle in the range.
