This bottling comes from a single marrying cask, meaning the vatting was married in one cask and drawn from it alone, so the character sits tighter and more concentrated than the standard release. The nose is honey, dried fruit and coastal smoke; the palate runs sweet then sooty, with malt, orchard fruit and a growing campfire edge; the finish is long, dry and smoky. Serve it neat in a copita, with a drop of water if the smoke needs opening.
