Resilient Oloroso Sherry Butt 17 year 750 ml

This oloroso Sherry is quite exquisite and has a lingering complexity that sits nicely on the tongue. It is a dark mahogany color, with a hint of ruby highlights. The nose hints at dates, mixed nuts, raisins, toffee and hints of tar. On the palate, it shows a full body and lovely roundness with excellent balance of fruit and woodiness. It displays loads of raisins and dark fruit competing against a generous portion of tannins and wood spices. It has a long finish which shows some fine bitterness and incense. Enjoy on its own or pair with strong blue cheeses, fig jam, nuts or dried fruit.
