Rozelieures Rare Collection Whiskey comes from the Grallet-Dupic family distillery in Rozelieures, in France's Lorraine region, one of France's pioneering single malt whisky producers. The distillery grows much of its own grain and malts it on site, an unusually hands-on approach for a whisky producer. The nose carries orchard fruit and light malt sweetness, the palate is smooth with honey and gentle spice, and the finish is soft and clean. It's built as an approachable French single malt rather than a peated, Scotch-style whisky. Good for whiskey drinkers curious about French whisky as a category.
