About this bottle
Sagamore Spirit Manhattan Finish is a Maryland-style rye whiskey finished in barrels that previously held vermouth, rather than blended with vermouth directly. The base rye is aged in charred oak for a minimum of two years, then rests an additional three months in the vermouth barrels, picking up botanical and dried-fruit character from the residual wine. The result is a rye with vanilla, caramel, and spice from the base whiskey, layered with a dry, faintly bitter, herbal edge from the finish. It's built as a nod to the Manhattan cocktail, with the vermouth influence already baked into the whiskey itself.
