Lagavulin 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the younger sibling to the distillery's famous 16 Year, first released to mark Lagavulin's 200th anniversary and now a standing part of the range. Distilled on Islay and matured in oak casks for eight years rather than the usual sixteen, it trades some of the deep, mellow complexity of the older expression for a rawer, more direct hit of Lagavulin's signature peat smoke. Expect dried fruit, toffee, and salt alongside that heavy smoke, with a long, smoky finish that doesn't let up quickly.
