Suenos Añejo is an aged tequila made from blue Weber agave and matured in oak for at least a year to earn the añejo designation. That extra barrel time pulls the spirit toward vanilla and caramel while the cooked agave holds its place underneath, which is exactly why añejo is where most whiskey drinkers find their way into tequila. Expect a nose of cooked agave, vanilla and dried fruit, a palate of caramel, toasted oak, baking spice and a soft peppery edge, and a long, warm finish. Drink it neat in a copita, or pour it over one large cube if you want it to open slowly.
