Tequila Don Elias Blanco 750ml

Don Elias Blanco is the unaged member of the range, bottled without barrel time so what reaches the glass is cooked agave and whatever the still left behind. There is nowhere to hide in a blanco, which is exactly why bartenders reach for it first. The nose gives cooked agave, grapefruit and a green herbal note; the palate is sweet agave cut with cracked pepper and citrus pith; the finish is bright, clean and peppery. Pour it neat at cellar temperature if you want to read the agave, or use it as the base of a margarita or paloma where that green pepper edge cuts through citrus.
