The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky aged 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before finishing in 30-year-old Tawny Port pipes from Portugal's Douro Valley, another entry in the distillery's signature multi-cask approach. The port finish adds a distinct dried-fruit sweetness on top of The Dalmore's usual sherried richness, pushing the profile toward dried fruits, toffee, and dark chocolate with a deep amber color to match. The finish is long and smooth with a hint of spice trailing off. It sits between the standard 12 Year and the more elaborate King Alexander III in the range.
