Stratheden Distillery itself operated from 1829 to 1926 before closing. This recreation is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% ABV. Expect a light golden color, a nose of honey, toffee, and dried fruit, and a palate carrying vanilla, toffee, and oak with a hint of smoke. The finish is long, smooth, and gently spiced.
