About this bottle
The Perfect Fifth Cambus 41 Year is an independent bottling of single grain Scotch from Cambus, a Clackmannanshire grain distillery that closed for good in 1993, which means every bottle in existence came out of casks laid down before then. Grain whisky rewards long ageing in a way malt often does not: four decades in wood turn a light, sweet spirit into something dense and confected. The nose is coconut, vanilla and toffee; the palate is thick with creme brulee, banana, oak sugar and a little tropical fruit; the finish is soft, sweet and very long. Serve it neat in a copita and take your time with it.
