About this bottle
The Real McCoy Prohibition Tradition 12 Year is a Barbados rum distilled at Foursquare, the estate distillery Richard Seale runs on the island's south coast, and aged twelve years in ex-bourbon American oak with nothing added afterward: no sugar, no colouring, no flavouring. The name honours Bill McCoy, the Prohibition-era rum runner whose cargo was trusted because he never cut it. Twelve tropical years build real weight. The nose is banana, toasted coconut and vanilla; the palate is dark toffee, dried apricot, oak tannin and baking spice; the finish is dry, spicy and long. Drink it the way you would a good bourbon, neat or over one large cube.
