Tierra Sagrada Añejo Halloween Series is the Jalisco brand's aged tequila in a seasonal hand-decorated bottle, the kind of release that gets bought once for the shelf and once for the glass. Underneath the artwork it is a straightforward añejo: 100% agave spirit given more than a year in oak, long enough for the wood to fold sweetness and spice into the cooked agave without erasing it. Cooked agave, vanilla and toasted oak on the nose; caramel and dried fruit over sweet agave on the palate with light pepper behind; a warm, oaky finish. Drink it neat in a copita, or over one large cube.
