Tomatin 12 Year Single Malt Scotch 750ml

Tomatin is one of the few Scotch distilleries majority-owned by a Japanese company, Takara Shuzo, since the 1980s — long before Japanese whisky's current global popularity made that kind of ownership trendy. The 12 Year matures in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry oloroso casks, giving it real balance between sweet honeyed malt and richer dried-fruit sherry character, without leaning too hard into either. It's a genuinely well-regarded, gently priced Highland malt that doesn't get the attention some flashier distilleries do, largely because Tomatin sells most of its output as bulk whisky for blends rather than marketing itself aggressively as a single malt brand.
