Umano Mukuzani 750ml

Mukuzani is the dry-red appellation of Georgian Saperavi, drawn from vineyards in the Kakheti region and traditionally given time in oak before release, which is why it has long been the country's most respected dry red designation. Saperavi has red flesh as well as red skin, and that is why the pour runs inky to the rim. The nose opens on black cherry, dried plum and a little tobacco. The palate is firm and dry, with blackcurrant, spice and tannin that grips without drying you out, and the finish carries earth and dark fruit. Decant it half an hour and pour it with lamb, grilled beef, or slow-cooked stew.
