Usquaebach Cask Strength Blended Malt Scotch 750 ml

Usquaebach An Ard Ri marries more than twenty single-malt casks, aged 10 to 21 years, into a cask-strength blended malt Scotch. Master blender Stewart Laing of Hunter Laing drew those casks from his own stock for Usquaebach and bottled the result at full strength with no dilution. Blended malt means all-malt whisky from several distilleries married together — no grain whisky in the mix — and this one carries marzipan, brioche, and burnt orange peel over a palate of honey, leather, and brown sugar. Only 2,000 bottles were filled. Rich and structured, it suits an after-dinner pour, taken neat with a small splash of water to settle the heat.
