W. & J. Graham's 50 Year Old Tawny is a rare, ultra-aged Port from the Graham's lodge in the Douro Valley, Portugal, one of the oldest and most decorated houses in the region. Half a century in wood turns the color a deep orange-brown with a pale green rim, and pulls the aromas toward orange blossom, fruitcake, and butterscotch. On the palate it's rich and creamy, with seasoned wood, nutmeg, and cinnamon carrying into a long finish. Bottled at 20% ABV, this is a Port for someone who already loves tawny style and wants to taste what decades of barrel age actually does to it.

How to drink Graham's 50 Year Old Tawny

Pour it slightly below room temperature in a small glass and take your time — fifty years of oxidative aging means it's already at its peak, not something to chill hard or rush through. A piece of aged cheese or dark chocolate alongside it is the classic move.
